January Writing Workshop

 

'The Magic of Words'
 

​​​​Across the January holidays, students will develop their creative and persuasive writing writing through fun, hands-on lessons. The magical theme keeps learning engaging and imaginative. A perfect way to boost confidence before the school year begins!​

Who is this course for?

Students in Years 1 - 7 who want to practice their writing skills

When does it run?

Week 1 (Creative Writing) - Tuesday 6th, Wednesday 7th & Thursday 8th January, 9.30am - 12.30pm

Week 2 (Persuasive Writing) - Tuesday 13th, Wednesday 14th & Thursday 15th January, 9.30am - 12.30pm

Week 3 (Creative Writing) - Tuesday 20th, Wednesday 21st & Thursday 22nd January, 9.30am - 12.30pm​​

What will the students do?

Students will work as a group to discuss creative or persuasive structures, paragraphing, planning and using the correct language features for each text type.
