Our Curriculum
Using Victorian State Government guidelines, My English Tutor focus our curriculum on a wide range of specially selected texts to make sure what your child’s learning with us correlates directly to the skills and knowledge they need for school.
It has long been proven that children learn more quickly when they are interested in the information before them. With this in mind, we keep the curriculum at My English Tutor fresh and fun and current to keep your child interested and attentive.
Early Learning
Early Learning lessons are for children aged 3 to 5 years and are designed around a ‘Learn through Play’ model.

Our tutors read to your child and play specially designed games that encourage English speaking and new vocabulary, while also completing activities to work on fine motor skills that improve dexterity and handwriting.

All our lessons are educational, screen free and designed to immerse the children in the English language. Our native English-speaking tutors pride themselves on setting a foundation of great conversation and pronunciation for your children.
Primary School
Primary School Lessons are for children attending Prep to Grade 6 and are designed to incorporate the requirements of NAPLAN and Victorian Curriculum.

Secondary School
Secondary School lessons are for teenage students in grade 7 to 9.
These more technical lessons focus on skills development; particularly reading more advanced texts, extending vocabulary and the writing requirements expected at a Secondary School level.
