NAPLAN Preparation Courses

For students going into Years 3 and 5 in 2025, our NAPLAN Preparation Course provides essential skills practice in reading, language conventions, and narrative and exposition writing. Each session builds their confidence and familiarity with the required skills, so they’re ready to perform at their best come test time.

​

Each week of the NAPLAN Preparation Course offers different content, ensuring that children who attend all three weeks build progressively on their skills without repeating material, covering new reading texts, writing tasks, and language conventions each week.

Day 1 & 2: Skills and Strategy Development

During the first two days, students will:

• Practise reading comprehension strategies to understand and analyse texts quickly and accurately.

• Work on language conventions, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling, to strengthen their understanding and application of key language rules.

• Build skills in writing, focusing on narrative and exposition structures to help them organise and express ideas effectively in different formats.

Day 3: Practice Test (optional)

On the optional third day, students will:

• Complete a full-length NAPLAN-style practice test, simulating the real test experience.

• Gain familiarity with test timing, question format, and the overall structure to reduce any test-day anxiety.

 

For an additional fee, parents have the option of having this practice test assessed, providing a written report with valuable feedback on areas where their child can improve and excel.
