Course Details
Our NAPLAN Preparation Course provides essential skills practice in reading, language conventions, and narrative and exposition writing. Each session builds their confidence and familiarity with the required skills, so they’re ready to perform at their best come test time. Each week of the NAPLAN Preparation Course offers different content, ensuring that children who attend all three weeks build progressively on their skills without repeating material, covering new reading texts, writing tasks, and language conventions each week. Days 1 & 2: Skills and Strategy Development - During the first two days, students will practise reading comprehension strategies to understand and analyse texts quickly and accurately. - Work on language conventions, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling, to strengthen their understanding and application of key language rules. - Build skills in writing, focusing on narrative and exposition structures to help them organise and express ideas effectively in different formats. Day 3: Practice Test (Optional) - Students will complete a full-length NAPLAN-style practice test, simulating the real test experience. - Gain familiarity with test timing, question format, and the overall structure to reduce any test-day anxiety. For an additional fee, parents have the option of having this practice test assessed, providing written report with valuable feedback on areas where their child can improve and excel.
Booking Terms & Conditions
Terms and Conditions for NAPLAN Preparation Course Booking By booking the NAPLAN Preparation Course, you agree to the following terms and conditions: 1. Booking and Payment A booking is confirmed only upon full payment via our website booking system. Your child’s place is reserved for all scheduled sessions. Partial attendance or attendance on specific days only is not available, except for the 2-day option. 2. Fees and Course Options Course fees are payable in full at the time of booking. Choose between a 2-day or 3-day option, with an additional practice test and optional assessment available on Day 3 for an extra fee. 3. Cancellations and Refunds Client Cancellations: Cancellations must be made at least 14 days before the course start date for a partial refund, minus a $25 administration fee. No refunds are available for cancellations within 14 days of the start date or after the course begins. Missed Sessions: Refunds, rescheduling, or credits are not provided for missed sessions. Each session builds on the previous one, and participation in all is expected. 4. Illness Policy If a student arrives unwell or has been unwell in the last 24 hours, they will be sent home, and no refund will be provided. If illness prevents attendance, please notify us as soon as possible; we will do our best to reschedule, subject to availability. 5. Course Changes by My English Tutor We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel sessions due to unforeseen circumstances or low enrolment, offering either a reschedule or full refund in such cases. 6. Optional Test Assessment The practice test assessment is available on Day 3 for an extra fee, with feedback provided within 10 days. Parents do not have access to the completed test. 7. Parental Responsibility Parents must ensure timely attendance and preparedness for each session. My English Tutor is not responsible for lost or damaged personal belongings. 8. Code of Conduct Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the course, with no refund provided. 9. Liability My English Tutor is not liable for injury, loss, or damage to persons or property during the course, except where required by law. By completing your booking, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.
